David became a Scout Leader in 2001. In 2010 He became a Group Lead Volunteer for 11th Medway, and in 2019 he joined the District Team helping to support the 20 Scout groups in Medway.
It was Scouting that made David realise that he really enjoyed
working with children. Whilst Scouting was giving him plenty of
experience, he realised he would need qualifications to pursue a career
in that field. He went on to complete a degree in youth and childhood
studies. Before he completed the degree, he and his wife Tracy became
foster parents. So far in their career they have looked after and
supported many children over 17 years.
David met Graeme through Scouting and watched Great Leaps start its journey. When an opportunity
arose for David to help out he jumped in with both feet!
