Fiona
Fiona has always had a love of the outdoors, sparked by her first camping experience with the Guides at around age 11. She has also consistently enjoyed being around children — from helping with Brownies, Cubs and Boys’ Brigade when she was young, to spending several years as a foster carer.
For a time, she worked as an Activity Ranger at Shorne Country Park, combining her enjoyment of woodland environments with leading den-building and bug-hunting birthday parties for children. More recently, she has worked in schools, first as a teaching assistant and later as a qualified teacher.
She is currently self-employed, running science-themed after-school clubs, birthday parties and school workshops, while also helping out at Great Leaps on occasion.
